Hey, Americans: GET OUT AND VOTE!

I just got back from exercising my right to vote. (I could've exercised my legs and walked the half mile to the polling place, but boy, that'd just be a lot of dang exercise first thing in the morning...) The polls opened at 6am and I arrived at 6:03. Big crowds - much bigger than usual. As someone who always votes in every primary and election and someone who has voted in the same polling place for the past 9 years, I was a little surprised to see the crowds that early. I mean, I usually just walk right in and vote! But, that is a GOOD THING and I'm hoping it continues...... I was number 16 for my district, and Hubby, who drove over there as soon as I got home, was number 46. There've been times when I've gone to vote midafternoon and been closer to 16 than 46 in the past, so I think that is a promising sign.

Anyhow, if you are an American and you are eligible to vote, PLEASE DO! If you need further encouragement, please check out my bloggy pal Smoochiefrog's post here about some delicious incentives for folks who vote today.

And, because it's my blog - GO OBAMA!

Sose had a last minute business trip so she can't vote since it is too late for absentee ballots. I am hoping the crowds aren't too bad since I have to take the 2 youngest with me.

I am definitely going to vote but I'm taking a book or magazine with me for the line :-)

This was my first time at this polling place, and I was #148. I arrived 30 minutes after the place opened and had to wait 40 minutes total. I had a book I needed to read for school with me, so I got about 10-15 pages read in that which I otherwise wouldn't have.

I voted this morning....Our polls opened at 7 and by the time I put my ballot in to be tabulated I was voter 181. Waited a total of pretty close to 20 minutes to vote....My brother's fiancee on the other hand was in and out in no time! Oh, and from one Obama supporter to another....GO OBAMA!

GO OBAMA!!!! I'm so glad to see someone else posting about their actual decision. I've seen so many people today posting about how it's a secret ballot, none of my business, being all evasive. We're all adults. I'm not going to like anyone less because they support McCain. I will wonder about their SANITY though. heeeheee!
