RED and GREEN Friday for my family! This is our traditional day to put up and decorate the Christmas tree, hang the lights and get reacquainted with my snowman figurine collection. (Have I mentioned I love snowmen? LOVE snowmen. I visited our local craft/antique co-op the other day and could easily have spent hundreds of dollars on the various snowmen figurines, ornaments, wall hangings, etc. Ohhhhh, how I love snowmen, especially the cutesy, country-crafty kind.) Today is also the day when Kiddo and I, who have been listening to Christmas music for weeks already whenever Hubby isn't in earshot, are able to crank up the holiday tunes in Hubby's presence without him being able to grouse about it. Woo! (Technically, we cheated a little bit - I sat down at the piano after dinner last night and Kiddo and I sang a few holiday tunes while Hubby was carving up the remainder of the turkey. Did I mention we roasted a 16 pound turkey for just the three of us, well, plus the cat who would gladly eat twice her body weight in turkey... But twice her body weight in feline turkey toots is lethally noxious, so we kept her consumption to a minimum.)
I do love Christmas music, even more than my snowmen. It's my favorite part of the Christmas season, actually. One of my favorite Christmas albums is one I first owned in vinyl record format back in 1979. Today, it's on my iPod and also in my CD collection, and Kiddo loves it, too. Have fun putting up your Christmas stuff. We can't put ours up until they put in our new kitchen floor on Monday....Most of our kitchen and dining room is in our living room until then.

I LOVE the Muppets and laughed when I saw you posted the video. I was upset though that the Swedish Chef wasn't in it. He's my favorite!

Do you relize that you and i ARE the same person. I adore my snowman collection... but not as much as i adore my Christmas music collection and I am SO jealous that you have a piano!!!!
I'm hoping to do that tomorrow. I just got off work today, so won't have time. Cause I got my little SIL and were going to the movies. Although, not a movie I want to go see, cause the 4 year old is tagging with all us girls. Hello Bolt!
